Proclamation Day/Lá an Fhorógra 2016
Tuesday March 15th, 2016 was Proclamation Day. This was the day when every school in the country was invited to share the results of their Proclamation for a New Generation, and all other creative projects relating to 1916. There was a fantastic atmosphere in the school as the girls sang, danced, played music and preformed a play based on the happenings in 1916. The Halla was looking its best with lots of art created for the special day and an artifacts area also. We were blessed with the weather, we’d a glorious blue sky and the sun shone! The girls did themselves and their parents proud. Thank you to everyone that came on the day, and a very special thank you to Seán Kierse who in honour of his significant contribution to both education and to local history, raised our national flag.
