Next STEAM Challenge for 3rd & 4th:
3rd & 4th Class have researched the old bridge in Killaloe and created PowerPoints to share their knowledge with the class. They have now been set the challenge of designing and constructing a bridge. This bridge will then be used as a prop to make more stop motion videos.

Creative Clusters
Junior and senior infants were delighted to welcome the juniors and seniors from Killaloe Boys’ School for a really fun STEAM activity today. The excitement didn’t stop there as 1st and 2nd class returned the visit to the Boys School where they made some really creative and inventive creatures.

The girls visited the boys school for a STEAM activity – creating structures using spaghetti and marshmallows. Not an easy task but the children did brilliantly!

3rd & 4th Class are listening to mini lessons on Mystery Science:

Senior Processing Engineer visit
Jenna Bromell, a senior processing engineer from Johnson & Johnson Vision visited the school yesterday to speak to the pupils about a career in engineering. She gave a fantastic presentation to the girls which we hope help students to make connections between their studies and the world of work. #JuniorAchievement

The children created lots of different types of boats as part of our ‘Float A Boat’ challenge. We were amazed at the effort the children put in to create some incredible boats There was creativity, imagination and ingenuity to be seen in abundance – massive well done to everyone!
